WestCountry Safety is a Yeovil-based practice helping hospitality, leisure and retail businesses across Somerset, Devon and Dorset stay safe and compliant — without the jargon or the scare tactics.
Why I set it up
Too many small hospitality and retail businesses get one of two things: a national provider who sends a stranger with a checklist, or a 40-page report full of clauses nobody reads. Neither makes anywhere safer.
WestCountry Safety is the opposite. One named person who learns your site, gives you advice that fits how you actually operate, and writes it down in plain English so your team can act on it.
I focus on hospitality, leisure and retail because that’s where the everyday risks — fire, water, kitchens, seasonal staff — need practical judgement, not a template. And I keep to Somerset, Devon and Dorset so I can be there quickly when it matters.
